Popilush Hits NewYork Fashion Week
Did you see something you liked at New York Fashion Week? Something even, perhaps, a little familiar?
Great eye! For the first time, Popilush was in the spotlight at NY Fashion Week, where we had the honor of being both a featured brand and an event sponsor. And guess what? Our founder, Eve DeMartine, got to speak on a fashion panel. It was a pretty big deal—and another opportunity for Popilush to expand and share our mission of empowering women through products that make you look good and feel good.

This year, Popilush took part in the Meet Me in New York event by Modern Day Wife, setting visitors up with everything from beauty tutorials and inspiring speakers to shopping experiences and influencer lounges. It’s about making new connections both personal and professional, whether you’re looking for something to wear or brainstorming your own future brand.
The look: Modern Day Wife. Trendsetters and shoppers alike got the opportunity to taste the beauty of the modern wife, all through the lens of balancing a career and desires with a vibrant social life. This was our inspiration, and we’ve gotta say that we think Meet Me in New York kicked it out of the park!
One of the best things about this hub of fashion-forward minds is that it allowed us to explore not only ready-to-wear pieces women can throw on at a whim, but futuristic designs and new technologies. We delved into the avant-garde, envisioning how cutting-edge design will one day shape the everyday fashion we wear. The event saw an incredible turnout, drawing over 1,000 attendees and providing the ideal opportunity to forge new connections.
We’re always excited to share the story of Popilush, and there’s no better place to do so than at NYFW. Popilush fits right into the “ready-to-wear” category of fashion, while at the same incorporating the innovation and beauty of high-end products. Eve was thrilled to speak on her experience in the fashion world and how she’s grown Popilush from a simple concept to a booming brand, combining the practical with the fashionable.
The thing about shapewear is that it’s long been viewed as support for fashionable pieces, rather than fashionable itself. People didn’t wear shapewear on its own—they wore it underneath, with the utilitarian purpose of creating a more flattering shape. The pieces often didn’t even look attractive—because they weren’t meant to be seen. Remember all that beige? Glad we’ve left it behind!
Where Popilush changed the game was in creating shapewear that you can literally wear. To the grocery store, to the gym, on a date—it’s not meant to be hidden (though we still feature pieces that can be, if that’s your preference!). That’s why we were so excited to showcase it at NYFW in particular. It’s time for us to acknowledge the fashion potential of shapewear. You can achieve that hourglass while wearing a slinky dress nobody can look away from. You can achieve the perfect curves wearing a lacy top, perfectly paired with an adorable skirt for a night out. You can incorporate eco-friendly, advanced technology into your fashion. All while achieving your original desire: wearing something that offers you that extra confidence boost.
Popilush also introduced their first-ever release of the Ponte Work Pant, now part of the newly launched Best Friend Basics collection. This collection also features a sophisticated office-ready dress and a padded shoulder bodysuit—each piece designed to offer the perfect combination of class and comfort for every occasion.
It can make a big difference. It already is. We see Popilush success stories every day, and at NYFW, we were able to build even more for the future. We’re so thrilled that we were able to take part in this event, not only sharing our experience and future goals, but creating connections with people and perhaps even inspiring them to build the next big fashion line.
